Cynthia Raskin Public Relations

Cynthia Raskin opened her agency in the fall of 1989 after 13 years with the PR firm of Ruth Rashman Associates. She produced projects for Rashman’s retainer clients including The Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis, Erikson Institute and more. For six years prior to that, she developed educational television materials for philanthropist Irving Harris’ Prime Time School Television. At Prime Time, she worked with major television networks; public affairs departments of leading corporations including AT&T, IBM, Xerox and more.


A graduate of the University of Wisconsin in radio, television and film, Raskin also studied at Northwestern University’s School of Film and Columbia University’s School of Art Management in Chicago. In the summer of 1994, Raskin completed an intensive course in Creative Marketing through the University of Minnesota’s Split Rock Arts Program. Raskin is a former lecturer for graduate students at Northwestern University’s downtown campus, discussing promotional opportunities and skills with students in course work for Entrepreneurship in the Arts.
